Urban Layout Poland

This award-winning proposal explored the transformation of a historic steel and ironworks site into a new urban district for the city of Zabrze (population 169,000). Existing industrial buildings were carefully integrated into the urban layout, giving new life to the city’s heritage.

The design introduces a mix of housing, shops, and public squares, responding to the surrounding schools, hospitals, and established neighbourhoods. The project was awarded by Zabrze City Council in collaboration with Politechnika Śląska.
